We are the main sponsor of ECD Global 2024 in London

Discussing the future of cross-border trade.

We are proud to be the main sponsor of this year's ECD Global event, taking place in London on October 23, 2024. This premier industry meeting of e-commerce experts, hosted by Tradebyte, a leading integrator of marketplaces and brands, will focus on cross-border trade and the associated challenges for online business under the motto “Beyond Borders”. Around 200 participants from leading brands, e-commerce, retail and service companies are expected to attend this full-day event dedicated to networking, thought leadership, and collaboration.

“In today's fast evolving global landscape, it is essential for brands looking to expand internationally to have a reliable and flexible supply chain partner,” says Berthold Reinke, Vice President of Global Business Development at Arvato and panelist at ECD Global, emphasising the critical role of supply chain partnerships for the international market. “At Arvato, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that simplify the complexities of cross-border operations, enabling our clients to scale their businesses seamlessly.”

Keynote speaker Abbas Tolouee, Senior Consultant at Arvato, will explore the dynamics of the cross-border e-commerce landscape, highlighting the accelerating trend in cross-border shopping that presents new opportunities for brands. “We are witnessing a significant rise in cross-border purchases, as more and more customer segments embrace shopping across international borders. We therefore see it as our task to support brands in this change and want to ensure that they successfully navigate and take advantage of new market opportunities,” says Abbas Tolouee.

Tobias Uthmann, Managing Director of Arvato in the United Kingdom, will lead a masterclass at ECD Global, addressing the demands that online trade places on cross-border logistics and regulatory know-how in day-to-day practice. He refers to Arvato's experience in overcoming the post-Brexit challenges: “Since Brexit, Arvato has been a key player in ensuring that brands across the EU and UK can continue to operate without disruption. Our in-depth knowledge of customs regulations and cross-border logistics has been crucial in maintaining smooth operations and I look forward to sharing some of these insights.”

In total, ECD Global 2024 will feature over 100 one-to-one meetings, alongside more than 15 expert-led talks, workshops and breakout sessions, all focusing on cross-border strategies and international marketplace growth.
