Fundamentals for integrity & ethical conduct

Our Compliance Management

Our commitment to ethical and compliant partnerships

Integrity and morally and ethically correct conduct are an important part of our corporate culture. A trusting partnership with our customers and service providers requires legally compliant behavior on both sides and is the basic prerequisite for successful cooperation.

Code of Conduct

As part of the Bertelsmann Group, the Bertelsmann Code of Conduct is a binding guideline for all our employees for legally compliant and ethical behavior within the company, towards business partners and the public. Every employee undertakes to adhere to the principles set out therein.

You can find the Code of Conduct here.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Our business partners can rely on us as a partner that acts with integrity and in compliance with the law.

We also expect the same standards from our business partners.

As part of the Bertelsmann Group, we require all business partners who act for, together with or on behalf of the company to comply with minimum legal compliance standards within the framework of the Bertelsmann Supplier Code of Conduct. These minimum standards must also be passed on by the business partner to third parties along the value chain, if such third parties are used in the course of the business partner's activities for us (e.g. subcontractors). The business partner must also take appropriate steps to ensure compliance at this stage of the value chain.

You can find the Bertelsmann Supplier Code of Conduct here.

Speak-Up-Channels

All our employees, business partners and third parties have the opportunity to contact us via our speak-up channels with questions or concerns - confidentially, of course.

You can contact people in your local work environment to ask questions about the Bertelsmann Code of Conduct or to report violations of the Code of Conduct or compliance guidelines. These are, for example Your supervisors, your management, your local compliance officers or compliance managers, your HR, legal, finance or audit department, or - where available - your employee representatives.

If you do not wish to raise your concern locally, you can also contact Bertelsmann's Integrity & Compliance department by e-mail. Your request will be processed there in compliance with all data protection regulations.

A communication system is also available here for reporting violations of the Code of Conduct - in particular illegal business practices. This system is available in several languages and can be reached by telephone and online. It allows a confidential dialog with the Bertelsmann Integrity & Compliance department that is secured by special encryption and can be anonymous if desired.

All information on the Bertelsmann Speak-Up system can be found here.

Declaration of principle on respect for human rights

As an innovative and internationally leading service provider in the areas of supply chain management and e-commerce, we are aware that our responsibility for human rights goes beyond our actual business activities. It goes without saying that we are committed to protecting human rights within our company, but also in our supply chains. Our aim is to bring the impact of our business activities into harmony with people and the environment. To this end, we have developed a human rights strategy in which measures are taken to identify and counter human rights and environmental risks.
