We expand our U.S. footprint with major investment in Louisville, Kentucky
We have acquired land to build a new state-of-the-art logistics facility in Louisville, Kentucky.

This move builds upon impressive growth in the region since the inception in 2005. Starting with a single facility and warehouse workforce of nearly 300, the company has grown to operate five facilities with over 1,000 in workforce in Louisville and Bullitt County. This step also underscores Arvato’s latest capital investment in the U.S. after acquiring Carbel, a 3PL fashion provider earlier this year.
The new facility will span approximately 400,000 square feet and is designed as a smart logistics hub where it will integrate advanced technologies such as automated warehouse systems and robotics, to maximize efficiency and service performance. The facility will also feature a high-capacity photovoltaic solar installation and EV charging stations including other sustainable design principles to support Arvato’s environmental goals. The opening of this warehouse is expected to create 300 new jobs in the Louisville area, contributing to the local economy and providing employment opportunities in the region.
The site, strategically located near Louisville International Airport (SDF), will serve both B2B and B2C clients in Arvato’s core verticals of tech, consumer products, and healthcare industry verticals, leveraging Louisville’s excellent connectivity and optimized cut-off times. Clients will benefit from reliable operations, accelerated order fulfillment, and scalable logistics solutions.
“This facility is a cornerstone of our strategy to strengthen our operational capabilities in the U.S. and proactively expand our logistics network in line with client demands,” says Andreas Podwojewski, Managing Director of Arvato North America and Brazil. “Louisville’s exceptional transportation connectivity and skilled workforce makes it an ideal environment for this expansion. Furthermore, it reinforces our long-term confidence in the U.S. market and our commitment to sustainable growth.”
Site preparation is already underway, with operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The location also offers the opportunity to acquire adjacent buildings, enabling a future expansion of the campus to over one million square feet.
