We partner with GRID Alternatives Inland Empire to bring clean energy to underserved communities

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and social impact, Arvato in the US recently partnered with GRID Alternatives Inland Empire (GRID IE), a nonprofit organization that brings solar energy solutions to underserved communities throughout the region.
As part of the cooperation, a dedicated team of Arvato employees volunteered on-site in San Bernardino County to help install a residential solar electric system under the expert guidance of GRID IE’s experienced Solar Installation Supervisors. “We are proud to support GRID IE’s mission of energy equity,” says Darcy Everett, Sustainability Manager at Arvato in the US. “This collaboration exemplifies how corporate responsibility and community action can work together to create long-lasting impact – both environmentally and economically.”
The solar system installed during Arvato’s volunteer day is expected to save the resident family $15,517 in utility costs over the system’s lifetime and prevent approximately 75.91 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, which is equivalent to the environmental impact of planting 1,766 trees.
GRID IE’s team expressed gratitude for the Arvato volunteers' contributions: “The support provided by Arvato USA was essential to delivering meaningful benefits to a local family and the broader community,” said Walker Woodard, GRID IE’s Development Manager. “Their volunteerism helps us bring no-cost clean energy solutions to families who need them most.”
This volunteer effort is part of a larger corporate sponsorship program offered by GRID IE, enabling companies to fund and participate in local solar installations that deliver economic relief, job training, and environmental progress across Southern California.
