Arvato opens seventh Louisville facility, strengthening its presence in key U.S. logistics hub

As brands continue to expand across North America, many face increasing challenges in scaling their supply chains quickly, maintaining service levels and building resilience in an increasingly complex market environment. To help clients address these challenges, Arvato has opened its seventh logistics facility in Louisville, Kentucky, further expanding its presence in one of the United States’ most important logistics hubs. The new, wholly-owned site adds approximately 400,000 square feet of capacity, taking Arvato’s total Louisville footprint beyond four million square feet. Expected to create approximately 150 new jobs, the facility further strengthens Arvato’s ability to support growing fulfillment and distribution requirements for clients across North America.

Helping brands scale across North America

As growth ambitions increase, companies require logistics networks that can expand alongside their business. Whether entering new markets, managing rising order volumes or optimizing delivery performance, brands need supply chain solutions that can support growth without adding complexity.

The new Louisville facility is a direct response to these changing market requirements. By expanding its U.S. network, Arvato is providing clients with additional capacity, greater operational agility and access to a highly connected distribution hub. Located near Louisville International Airport (SDF), the facility enables efficient distribution across major consumer markets and supports faster, more reliable fulfillment operations. It also benefits from late cut-off times, enabling faster direct-to-consumer deliveries and supporting time-critical shipments such as spare parts and critical equipment.

"Flexibility is often what our clients’ need most. They are looking for partners that can support their growth ambitions across North America while helping them navigate increasingly complex supply chain requirements," says Andreas Podwojewski, Managing Director North America at Arvato. “As we expand our Louisville footprint to seven facilities, we are further strengthening our network and creating the scalability, flexibility and operational excellence our clients need to succeed in a dynamic market environment.”

Building capacity for long-term customer growth

The new facility has been designed to meet both current and future client requirements. Combining advanced logistics technologies with scalable infrastructure, the facility enables Arvato to support a broad range of fulfillment and distribution needs while maintaining high levels of operational performance.

The facility is part of Arvato's continued expansion strategy in Kentucky, where the company has steadily increased capacity since establishing operations in the state in 2005. Today, Arvato operates more than 4 million square feet in Louisville and more than 9 million square feet across the United States. By further strengthening Arvato’s presence in Kentucky, the company is also contributing to the region’s continued economic growth. It also offers significant future expansion opportunities, creating a platform that can continue to grow alongside client requirements for years to come.

Combining operational excellence with sustainability

In addition to increasing network capacity, the new facility incorporates sustainability-focused infrastructure, including a photovoltaic solar installation with more than 1,300 solar panels, EV charging stations, and electrically powered heating functions as well as additional design elements that support responsible resource management. These investments align with Arvato’s approach of combining operational excellence with environmentally responsible business practices.

The official opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by clients, company leaders, employees, partners and local stakeholders, marking another important milestone in Arvato’s continued investment in North America.
